Hurricane Irene
Derek evacuated the CT shoreline for Zambia, while Brooke and I drove north to Lunenburg last Saturday. On Wednesday morning, we ventured home to assess the damage. The house is fine....but we lost a beautiful sycamore and a pine. The sycamore is about 80 feet tall and fell approximately 15 feet from the house. Whoa! Most of Guilford is still without power. Lots of damage along the shore, but we're lucky.
